Tim Cedrone joined Lafayette in June 2024 and serves as the College’s General Counsel. He brings to Lafayette over 15 years of service as a trusted counselor to colleges, boards of education, healthcare organizations, religious organizations, municipalities, counties, state agencies, non-profit corporations, and other business entities. As General Counsel, Cedrone provides legal and strategic advice on a wide variety of complex topics to the College, its Board of Trustees, the President, and the President’s Senior Leadership Team. He also supervises outside counsel and manages all litigation involving the College. Prior to joining Lafayette, he served as Associate General Counsel at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Before joining Rutgers, Cedrone was an associate with the law firm of Apruzzese, McDermott, Mastro and Murphy; prior to private practice, he was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Christine L. Miniman in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. Cedrone has conducted many seminars and published numerous articles on labor, employment, and sports law. Since 2011, he has also served as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University. He is active in professional organizations, including the National Association of College and University Attorneys and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and he previously served as Chair of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Cedrone holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Seton Hall University and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.
